Gaithersburg Library Supports Local Authors

Are you a local Montgomery County author with a published book? See your work on our shelves! Gaithersburg Library would love to include your book in our Local Author collection. Please bring at least two copies of your book to the Information Desk along with your contact information.

We also accept works from authors, publishers and producers to include in Montgomery County Public Library’s systemwide collection.

Other library resources for writers:

Need some peace and quiet while writing your next novel? Reserve one of our study rooms online.

Conducting literature research? We’ve got databases such as the Literature Resource Center, Literature from the Gale Virtual Reference Library, NoveList Plus and more for you to use online for free with your library card.

We have online encyclopedias, dictionaries and directories - also free and available online with your library card.

Books on Gaithersburg Library's shelves about writing
We've got books about writing, too!

Of course, we also have books about writing (including the ever popular and useful Writer's Market series), about becoming a writer and more.

Now, stop procrastinating and start writing. We'd love to see your books in our library!
